What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a perfectly safe approach. It takes you into a feeling of relaxation and calmness. We go into trance-like states throughout the day. Have you ever been driving and arrived at your destination without being aware of how you got there? Have you ever realised you have not heard a word even though the speaker has been talking for quite a while? Have you been so immersed in a TV programme that you didn’t notice someone coming into the room. That is because you were in a trance. We drift in and out of trance all day.
I will help you to go into a trance-like state to get to the root of the issue quickly. With the NLP techniques, a quick permanent result can occur to even the longest standing problems.
Can I be hypnotised?
In fact, I won’t be hypnotising you – it is you that hypnotises yourself – I will just be the guide to help you get in that state. So if you want to be hypnotised it is no problem – no one can be hypnotised if they don’t want to be.
I feel nervous about the thought of asking for therapy
That is normal. Many of my clients say that they felt nervous, but after the first session, they are relaxed and excited about what the following sessions were to bring them. If at the end of the first session you still feel nervous, please feel free to discuss this with me. It is important you are comfortable that you want to have me as your therapist.
